原名為 gaim 的 pidgin，是款跨平台的整合性即時通訊軟體。最重要的是，只要一個 pidgin 就可以讓我們同時登入至 aim、icq、msn messenger、yahoo、qq…等。如此一來，我們就可以免除於同一台電腦安裝數套不同的即時通訊軟體。雖然 pidgin 可讓我們方便地同時登入數種不同的帳戶，不過功能上較為陽春。功能雖然較為陽春，但對於只需要單純做溝通的話，pidgin 還真是個不錯的選擇呢！
