影音傳送帶是一個高效穩定功能強大的下載工具，下載速度一流，cpu佔用率低，尤其在寬頻上特別明顯；內建易於使用的文件管理器，輕鬆實現按類別存放下載的檔。而且只要站點支援，這些協定均支援多線程中斷點續傳。mms協定流每秒的位元組數差不多是固定的，這就決定了mms流本身不能充分利用用戶的帶寬資源，所以多線程技術能有效地縮短mms流下載的時間。rtsp同樣支持多線程，另外選中“流/最大速度”能明顯提速，效果立竿見影。影音傳送帶支援https(加密套接字協定層)，並且支援經過http、socks4&5等代理下載；ftp同樣支援ssl，可以有效地保護傳輸的資料安全。
可以說，影音傳送帶支援的協定之多，功能之全是世上少見，可謂極品。
影音傳送帶 (net transport) 是中國第一個實現 mms、rtsp(pnm)、http、https 和 ftp 的全能下載利器。流下載是它的主要特點，同時下載普通檔速度也堪稱一流，鮮有對手。
目前支援的協定有：
* http / https
* ftp / ssl (secure sockets layer) / sftp (ssh file transfer protocol)
* mms (microsoft media service)
* rtsp (real-time streaming protocol)
* pnm (rename pnm to rtsp)
主要功能列表：
1.每個任務最多10(128通過修改註冊表，查閱幫助檔)個線程，單個線程帶寬大於1m位元組(缺省的選項設置)。最多10(32通過修改註冊表，查閱幫助檔)個任務同時下載。
2.內建簡易的但功能強大的檔管理器，幫助用戶更好地分類和輕鬆地組織下載檔。真正的類別與磁片目錄同步。
3.簡單的多用戶管理，不同的用戶不同的任務資料。
4.內建的站點探索器輕而易舉流覽ftp站點的目錄結構，可以有選擇的大批下載檔。
5.可檢查檔是否更新或重新下載。
6.充分支援代理伺服器，目前支援http和socks4&5類型。在多代理類型的任務中，用戶可以自由地為每個線程設置一個代理，徹底打破某些站點隻允許一個ip一個連接的限制。
7.能穿透需要ntlm認證的防火牆如microsoft isa 2000，特別適合公司局域網。
8.速度限制允許用戶邊下載邊流覽。
9.監視流覽器點擊(現只支持 ie)。用戶可以使用數種方式添加任務，諸如通過ie擴展功能表、將url拖入下載視窗等等。
10.自動關機和自動掛斷modem。
11.上移下移任務讓重要任務提前下載。
12.定制工具欄、下載資訊及日誌視窗顏色。
13.多語言支援，並可隨時切換。只要將語言檔翻譯成母語就可以實現本地化，方法請參閱幫助檔。
14.中國第一個支援rtsp協議的下載工具，而且能下載helix server上的檔，streambox vcr做不到。
15.mms支持ntlm認證；rtsp支持ntlm和rn5認證。
16.支持mms和rtsp多線程，有效地縮短下載時間。
17.能自動地分析流腳本如.asx、.smi，並獲取真實的url。
18.支持https，並且支持http、socks4&5等代理方式。下載工具中也只有影音傳送帶能讓https透過socks5代理下載。
19.ftp支援ssl技術加密傳輸的資料，支援一次性密鑰保護你的登錄資訊，因為一般情況下密碼是明碼，容易被竊取，比如ip包監視工具。
